WATERSPORTS
If you are staying in a holiday cottage in Scotland and want to try
your hand at a variety of watersports then Perthshire is an ideal
destination. There is a wealth of watersports on offer in Scotland
but Perthshire has the finest. Loch Tay offers aqua sausage and ringo
rides from Kenmore - a power boat will tow you along beautiful Loch Tay
whilst you hold onto your inflatable ringo or sausage - an
unforgettable view of this Scottish loch!
You can do canoeing and kayaking at Aberfeldy, Ardeonaig, Grandtully
and Killin on the lovely Perthshire rivers and lochs. Traveling in a
kayak or a Canadian canoe in Scotland is a great holiday experience.
Duckies are the latest Scottish craze - they are inflatable open canoes
which are great fun - particularly on whitewater!
Canyoning in Scotland can be done at Aberfeldy, Kenmore, near
Blairgowrie and Newtonmore. Canyoning is a great watersport adventure
as you cliff jump into deep pools of water, abseil through waterfalls
and swim through rapids and more. Cliff jumping in highland Perthshire
will give you a great adrenaline rush and is enormous fun.
River rafting and whitewater rafting can be done in Perthshire at
Aberfeldy, Dunkeld, Newtonmore, by Perth, and Pitlochry. Perthshire is
famous for its stunning lochs and rivers, many of which are excellent
white water rafting venues. The River Tay is one of the finest places
to whitewater raft in the UK. This is a great outdoor pursuit if you
are staying in a holiday cottage in Perthshire. Loch Tay, Kenmore,
Loch Earn and Loch Insh have amazing watersports - sailing and
water-skiing are especially popular with those on holiday in Perthshire
here and in other parts of Scotland. Whilst renting a self-catering
cottage in Scotland near water sports then Loch Tay, Killin, Loch
Earnhead and Aberfeldy are ideal places for a vacation rental home with
watersports on the doorstep.
